What it is
Connect your Google or Apple Calendar a single time and MyOwnEvents keeps everything in step. Your existing commitments keep your availability accurate, so scheduling actually reflects your real life.
Google Calendar is two-way: the events you plan here are created, updated, and removed on Google automatically. Apple Calendar (iCloud) is read-only by default — we read your busy times for availability and never change your Apple calendar unless you choose to turn on two-way sync.
How it works

Connect in one tap
Authorize Google Calendar or Apple Calendar from Profile → Connected Calendars.

Availability flows in
Your existing busy times from Google and Apple appear in MyOwnEvents so scheduling and best-time suggestions are accurate.

Events flow out
Events you create, edit, or cancel in MyOwnEvents are mirrored to your Google Calendar automatically. Apple stays read-only unless you turn on two-way sync in Connected Calendars settings.
Your privacy, protected
- Friends only ever see free or busy. Your Google and Apple event titles are hidden from others by default — you can choose to share titles, but you never have to.
- Limited Use: your raw calendar events are never used for advertising, never read by our staff, never sent to AI providers, and never sold or shared with third parties. Our scheduling assistant uses only aggregated free/busy availability (e.g. the share of invitees free at a given time) to suggest event times — never your event titles, guests, or locations, and never to train AI models.
- You’re always in control — disconnect Google or Apple anytime from Profile (or directly in your Google Account), and we stop accessing your calendar.
Nobody ever sees your calendar — only whether you’re free or busy
Across every MyOwnEvents feature, your event titles, your guests, and your locations stay private. When we help you and your friends find a time, others see only whether you are free or busy — never the event details behind it. Your raw calendar events are never sold, never used for ads, and never sent to AI. Our scheduling assistant uses only the overall picture (like how many invitees are free at a given time) to suggest times — and that is never used to train AI models.
